Amy is a professional skier and mountain athlete. Her skiing pursuits range from hitting massive cliffs, throwing backflips, and navigating big lines deep in the backcountry with a focus on film, photo, and earning an AMGA Ski Guide certification. Previously the on-camera field announcer for the Freeskiing World Tour, in 2015 she transitioned to competing as a skier and placed 3rd in her first FWQ big mountain event in Verbier, Switzerland.
With a BA in the Psychology of Communication and minor in Outdoor Education & Leadership from Westminster College, Amy’s career fuses the outdoor and entertainment industries. She is the founder of Action Inspired Productions curating adventure-based multi-media content and leading backcountry retreats focused on women empowerment. She is the Media Coordinator for the Friends of the Sawtooth Avalanche Center and during summer, she guides wilderness backpacking trips for Sawtooth Mountain Guides.

Fun Facts

Amy organizes and leads women's backcountry retreats with the goal of creating a space for all types of women to enjoy the outdoors with a positive community.

In 2006, Amy was one of the youngest people to present original research on glacial recession at the International Snow Science Workshop.
